Record Oil Profits and Greed

Comments

Today’s news is flooded with headlines of record breaking profit margins for the oil companies.

“Royal Dutch Shell reports record 2Q profit of $11.6 billion.”

“Buoyed by high oil prices, ExxonMobil reports $11.68B profits.”

Followed by some unsettling news on Capital Hill:

“The oil and gas industry spent an all-time high to push its agenda last year”

Municipalities and state governments are not immune to the budget crushing high fuel prices either. All over the country the price has taken a toll on budgeted entities that serve the needs of the public.

  •  Police
  • State Troopers
  • Fire Departments
  • Ambulance services
  • Water Utilities
  • Electric Companies

And many other spin offs that have a forecasted budget that is typically planned 1-5 years in advance.  When was the last time you were able to predict the extreme swing in prices early enough to plan for the impact.

Let’s go back to the movie “Armageddon” when the story line gave a minimal amount of time before the Texas sized killer asteroid was to collide with earth. It was avoided because of a secret program that was developed to avert the likely event, one that the public was just seemingly oblivious too.

Is the gas crisis any different in terms of the overall impact. I really don’t believe it is however the public has little choice but to reel in the budgets for vacations and other luxuries to help curb the cost of surviving today’s biggest problem. High gas prices!

People are finding tempers flaring at the pump when single mom’s and struggling student’s find themselves backed into a corner when they are forced to choose between eating and being able to get to the grocery store.

So where is the help that new technology keeps sending to every other industry in the world. Like the headlines read.. Oil companies are spending record amounts of money on lobbyists and ensuring that any technology that will threaten the livelihood of fat profits and record bonuses (we are talking millions in single bonus checks) is pushed back or buried from public view. As technological advances reach the surface in most industries it is scooped up by savvy investors and propelled into new businesses across the country and around the globe all in the name of progress.

When the advances are reached in fuel efficiency the inventors or experimenters of the past have been silenced by big money and greed. This silencing treatment has been around longer than anyone on this planet if the truth be known. Our industrial revolution was flooded with great inventions that were pushed back by greed when it became apparent that profits would be forfeited because of them. I know that’s a big claim but it’s a true statement.

I remember reading somewhere not to long ago that Thomas Edison invented the light bulb that was capable of lasting 10 times longer than any bulb used today. So why was it withheld and not presented to the mainstream public?

Profits would have been forfeited so they had to build a bulb that had a life span short enough to keep the market demand where the manufacturers wanted it to be. Greed!

Ok! So let’s understand the gas greed and how it works into this article.

Inventors as far back as 1884 (see patent dated 1884) have worked on using water as a fuel source. It’s real. It works and yet it still has no place in our society of dynamic progress.

There is a movement that is making a name for itself  with using water to supplement the fuel in today’s cars. It is not just possible to increase the fuel milage in any vehicle it is being done all over the globe at an alarming pace. The greed mongers have managed up until now to keep the technology from surfacing on a grand scale. Some very crafty maneuvering has slipped this technology past the watchdogs and into the hands of dedicated and determined people that will not let go.

The information to create a cost effective system to increase your personal mileage is very easy to obtain now. The parts to build a system can be purchased in a local hardware store in any city in the country, yet the simplicity keeps eluding the public because greed keeps pushing the information out of the public view.

No More!

Do your research and ask the questions that everyone else asks. The only question left is where can I get the information that saves me real money at the pump.

Not $10-$20 per fill up but $1,000.00 to $1500.00 yearly for 1 vehicle.

I started this blog with intentions to help push information into the public eyes and until someone convinces me otherwise I will do just that.

You want better mileage from your vehicle and you know you do. So don’t be afraid to look at the information that can help you get there.

It is ultimately in your hands how much of your money the oil companies can claim as profit next quarter.
